Scots in London Ceilidh
Saturday 9 March 2024
St Columba’s Church, Pont Street, SW1X 0BD
7pm – 10:30pm
Join us for an evening filled with Scottish Dancing to a live Ceilidh Band, plus a range of live entertainment from the London Scottish Pipes and Drums, the London Gaelic Choir and the Burns Club of London. There will also be the opportunity to join in with a community sing led by the conductor of the excellent charity ScotsCare Choir.
No previous dance experience is required, just enthusiasm, as there will be a caller to lead guests through all the moves step-by-step.
A light supper is included in the ticket price, and there will be a bar available to purchase drinks.
We are a not-for-profit organisation. Our aim is to advance Scottish culture and heritage generally, and also to promote the social inclusion of people of Scottish heritage and others, in London and the South East, by making grants to charities and other non-profits.
Thus, we are building on the centuries-old tradition of bringing Scots together to support their fellow Scots in London.
Scots in London developed from an initiative to co-ordinate the commemoration of the anniversary of the First World War and the part played by its members both on the home front and on the front line.
We are honoured and delighted to have HRH the Princess Royal as our Patron. HRH began this role during the First World War commemorative project, and we are delighted that she has agreed to continue in this role.
